Five Armed Men Gun Down Ex-transport Leader In Quezon City

A former leader of transport group Pasang Masda was shot dead by five unidentified armed men in front of Fairview Central Mall in Quezon City Monday night.

Victim Rogel Fernandez, 45, former national coordinator of Pasang Masda, died on the spot due to several gunshot wounds he sustained.

An initial police report showed that around 7 p.m., the victim was traveling in his Mitsubishi Montero traversing the northbound of Regalado Avenue when the traffic came to halt due to stop light at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue.

Two men riding a motorcycle, positioned meters away from the victim’s vehicle, then fired at the passenger side of the SUV.

The three other gunmen were at the center island and fired shots at the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The suspects immediately fled after the incident.
