An employee of a telecommunications firm was reportedly beheaded by armed men in Mohammad Ajul in Basilan Saturday, police reported yesterday.Jakri Tarqi, 21, was on his way to check a cell site in Barangay Tuburan Proper when he was waylaid at past 4 p.m. Police and relatives of the victims recovered Tarqi’s body and head yesterday morning.
The area where the victim was killed was said to be a lair of armed groups. Authorities have yet to confirm whether Abu Sayyaf bandits were behind the killing.
