Philippines travel advice

Super typhoon Hagupit (locally named ‘Ruby’) is expected to bring extremely hazardous sea and weather conditions to parts of the Philippines from around 6 December. There is also a risk of flash floods in coastal and low lying areas, and landslides in mountain regions.

You should monitor weather forecasts and follow the instructions of government officials, police and security personnel, including any evacuation orders.

Travel disruptions are likely at airports and seaports due to the typhoon. Flight cancellations and delays are also expected at Manila’s airports. Check with your airline or travel company before you set off.
