Protests outside the Central Government Offices (CGO) and Legislative Council building in Admiralty and isolated areas of Central, Causeway Bay and Mongkok have been ongoing since 28 September. During the week commencing 25 November, bailiffs and police have moved to clear protest sites in Mong Kok.

While protests have been largely peaceful, there have been instances of violence resulting in a number of injuries and arrests. Police have used force against protestors on a number of occasions, including during their efforts to clear protest sites in Mong Kok.

There is some disruption to traffic and public transport services. The MTR (underground) is operating normally.
