Burkina Faso travel advice

An increased threat in Ouagadougou of armed groups stopping vehicles (including public buses) to rob them, particularly at night.

Street crime poses high risks for visitors. Most incidents involve opportunist snatches of purses, wallets, jewelry and other valuables.
