Protective Visits in Middle East – Personal Security Detail (PSD)
In general, for protective visits, personnel travel in advance and conduct site surveys, which assess needs for manpower, equipment, hospitals, rescue, other public services and evacuation routes for emergencies.
Before our client arrives at any high risk areas in the Middle East, a senior security adviser coordinates all resources relevant to the visit. Intelligence is processed and options are outlined.
Prior to the arrival, checkpoints are established and on certain occasions access to secured areas will be limited. During protective visits, International Security Agency and local forces form our national support network, including the local police, will be working in close proximity to receive up to date intelligence on the current local situation.
Our Tactical Operations Support Group acts as the communication center for all operational activities, monitors emergencies and keeps all participants in contact with one another, constant threat analysis, coordinating travel, reservations, hotels and everything else related to the visit making it a pleasant, relaxing, comfortable and safe time for our clients.

The risk to tourists from petty or violent crime is low by international standards, though vehicle crime, robberies and bag snatching continues to be relatively high.
In addition there are increasing reports of armed robberies taking place in shared taxis (known as Service taxis) with passengers being robbed by either the driver or other passengers.
It is advisable to only use taxis from recognized companies and to not use shared taxis or taxis hailed on the street. Normal precautions should be taken.
There is a high threat from terrorism in the Middle East. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travelers such as hotels and restaurants.
Previous terrorist attacks have taken various forms, including vehicle bombs, hand grenades and small, improvised bombs. There is a risk that Western interests may be targeted as well as areas where large numbers of people congregate. You are advised to maintain a high level of vigilance in public places, including tourist sites.
There has also been a number of attacks against UN troops and Westerners in the Middle East.
Kidnapping of Westerners visiting the Middle East remains a major problem.
